One letter a day, written with a regular pen. You'll learn the structure of each letter in Spencerian-style penmanship, then build muscle memory through deliberate repetition.
I like having different handwriting styles for different purposes.
I think of it like my wardrobe. Some days call for sweatpants, some for something a little more put together, and some for getting dressed up.
Handwriting can work the same way. A quick note can be messy. Everyday writing just needs to be clear. And when I want something to feel beautiful or special, I have a style for that too.
You don't need beautiful handwriting all the time. You just need it when you want it.
That's what I want to teach you: not to replace your handwriting, but to add another option to your "wardrobe."

Here's a look at the style you'll be learning. Lowercase mastery is your foundation for ornamental flourishes down the road.
Here's an example of one worksheet page from the course.
In our method, we break down the letter into its fundamental pieces, then builds it back up with movement drills and repetition.
Everything is based on an underlying pattern.
One short, focused video lesson released each day for 30 days — building letter by letter through the entire Spencerian lowercase alphabet.
Every lesson opens with the specific warm-up drill that trains the movement you need for that day's letters.
Go through it once, or come back to any lesson for years. There's no expiration date and no clock running on your progress.
No calligraphy nib, no special ink, no learning curve on tools. If you can hold a pen, you can start today.
Short enough to fit into a coffee break, structured enough that skipping a day never means starting over.
Lessons release daily over 30 days, but nothing forces you to keep pace — fall behind and catch up whenever your week allows.
You'll learn the essential strokes that every Spencerian lowercase letter is built from, and learn important background information before diving into the alphabet.
Letter by letter, from A to Z.
Continue practicing by tracing quotes and creating a final project
The old Spencerian copybooks were remarkably precise, but nearly impossible to learn from. A single lowercase letter came with a paragraph like this one: "Form the Extended Loop; then, uniting angularly, ascend with a left curve one and one-fourth spaces above base... unite angularly, and descend with a straight line on main slant to base." Every measurement was exact. This was before video tutorials and worksheet PDFS.
Our 30 Days of Beautiful Handwriting course keeps the precision and drops the paragraph. Every letter is clearly diagrammed with plenty of space to trace, practice, and build repetition.
We’ve spent weeks creating the worksheets so you don’t have to figure it out on your own by deciphering instructions from old copybooks.
"It felt very calming and peaceful to slow down and just focus on the strokes. Very therapeutic and mesmerizing!"
Beautiful Handwriting Challenge participant
Before this course, we ran a free 3-day version of these drills. Here's what participants have said:
"Slowing down definitely makes a BIG difference."
— Challenge ParticipantThe repetition of the drills after a while feels like a rhythm, just like you said.
"A good way to chill out by focusing on doing something easy and satisfying."
— Challenge Participant"I've wanted to improve for months but wasn't getting direction on where and how."
— Challenge Participant"It took me back to that joyful time and place."
— Challenge Participant"I still need a lot more practice to make my strokes look smoother and more confident."
— Challenge ParticipantNo. This course is written specifically for a regular pen- the one already on your desk. Nothing else to buy (although we do have a recommendation if you're looking for a new pen to try).
Each day you will receive a video lesson that is around 10 minutes long, plus an accompanying worksheet that you'll use to practice.
No. The lessons will be available inside the course portal so that you don't need to attend anything live. During this inaugural run of the course, they will be released one day at a time (e.g. Lesson 1 on Day 1); after that, they will be accessible at any time.
You keep lifetime access, so there's no rush. Lessons release daily for the first 30 days, but every lesson stays available to revisit whenever you want.
All of the lessons will be available for you to watch and re-watch whenever you'd like inside the course portal.
After the 30 days...
You'll have given yourself the chance to slow down and achieve something new. We hope you'll join us!
Enroll for $29Lesson 1 will be released on September 14, 2026
